When you go on holiday...
Added Date: 11th July 2017

Hello everyone, it is Ella back with another blog, which this time is about when you go on holiday to a hotel that had said it was accessible on the booking form, but when you get there, you find that it isn’t accessible enough to make it adapted to make you feel independent. I hope you enjoy!

The steps and ramps were really sloppy when wet and they didn’t have hand rails. This meant I had to have someone walking around with me to get into the pool, and even then one day I still nearly fell when going down and up the ramps.

This made me feel like I had a lack of independence when I was there because I like being able to walk around and find my way to get around.
The big pool was too deep for me to be able to swim in because I like pools that are square so that I can find the side easily and that I can ei...

My new adventure at Hereward College in Coventry
I have moved to a residential college called Hereward in Coventry. I’m doing a level 2 performing arts course. I like doing performing arts because I like a bit of acting (but I get nervous when I am acting) and I love dancing.
I was home sick for the first few days but I have met some lovely friends who have helped me to settle in ...

on travel training. Please have a read
Added Date: 7th May 2016

Hello everyone, my name is Ella and today's blog is going to be about catching the bus by myself and learning how to catch the bus properly and all the different buses there are. In August 2014, I was told that my funding had been dropped for taxis to get to and from college. This meant I had to learn how to catch the bus.

A lady came to my house to evaluate me so that we would know whether I would be able to get the bus. From this, we were told to get a bus pass because I had to do travel t...
